Training Groups

Become A Skilled Group Leader

Clinicians often enjoy training groups as they gain group leadership skills while also being a part of a group process. Through the process group, clinicians learn about themselves interpersonally while also studying the group leader’s interventions. By experiencing the leader’s interventions, clinicians become adept at learning how to work through the many challenges inherent in group psychotherapy.

Clinicians learn how to work effectively with bridging techniques, working through resistances, promoting progressive communication, scapegoating, and group-as-a-whole interventions. This is a potent learning opportunity, both professionally and personally.
